From Padova to the small fishing village of Chioggia, Italy!

We had to make our way back for another visit to Padova, Italy, as this is the home of our beloved St. Anthony of Padua!! He is clearly a family favorite and here you see his Basilica. This stop of our journey really brought back memories of bringing our children here years ago!!

However, all of you who know Bud would fully realize that it was now time to head to the little fishing villages of northern Italy! We rode an Italian local bus until we reached the ‘end of the line’ in Chioggia, Italy. The hard working fishermen of this village daily cast their nets directly into the beautiful Adriatic Sea.
Best put on your ‘cappello’ to watch this video! We certainly do NOT want you to experience any sea gull ‘remains’:)!

This was….as Bud always says..the ‘real deal’!

Then ‘the rains came’…almost four inches in ONE hour!!

Now we are back on the Italian trains and headed through Bologna and Rimini on to our next tiny fishing village at the ‘end of the line’:)!

ANNECY is my favorite city in France. I have visited there twice 20 years apart and it was exactly the same. Did you see the swans?

Wow! Can’t believe the rain! Do you know what fish the fisherman catch? What a charming fishing villiage. I will say, I think fishing is a lot harder than most people think! Not an easy lifestyle! Glad to see you guys are getting to the end of the line 🙂
