Merci beaucoup to Mdm Borkovich from St. Joseph Central Catholic, Fremont, Ohio!!! Thanks to her tenacious spirit in creating a classroom of excitement for the French language during my high school years at SJCC; I have finally had the opportunity to really experience firsthand her inspiring love of the French culture!
The architecture of “The City of Lights” is beyond description!!! I pray my photos may somehow capture a small essence of this part of our journey…
Spartan Spirit and Flat Stanley, our traveling buddies, LOVED Paris!!
We had the wonderful opportunity to experience “Friday Night at the Louvre”!
These two just didn’t seem quite as excited as we did about the Mona Lisa:)!
Of course you have to eat….so I ordered a salad which the French menu said included tomato and egg…..
Take a look at the French version:)!
After our lunch ‘treat’ on to the spectacular Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris! Here take a look:
Paris at night….no wonder they also say that it is “The City of Romance”…..
Join us on a Saturday night cruise on the Seine…
Au Revoir…we are off to northern Italy!

Loved your pics of the famed architectural sights of Paris, by both day and night….brought back many good memories! Quite a contrast to my favorite charming cobblestone streets of Annecy. France has it all…c’est la vie! JB
So very true….but your Annecy was beyond charming!!!
Karel, so enjoying your trip. Your pics of Paris reminded me of meeting up with Gail and Gene there several years ago. We had a wonderful visit with them in their apartment, then walked back to our hotel, near the Louvre, walking past the Eiffel Tower at night. Magical.
Thanks so much for sharing.
(Hope you get this, not sure how it works!)

So GREAT to hear from you!!
You have no idea how often I have thought of you !! I am carrying Elizabeth’s little pink memorial pin bow with me!!! As we have traveled many conversations have turned to how blessed she was to have you and Dale show her the world!!!
I pray all is going well for you and Andrew is thriving!!
Thanks for checking in on the blog and sharing the memories of Gail and Gene:)!!
Love,
Bud and Karel

Looks like you guys are having a most wonderful time! I think it’s been almost exactly 20 years now since I was in Paris as a teenager with the Bule Lake orchestra! I remember being even more impressed with Notre Dame than the Eiffle Tower! What fun! Glad you are having such a fantastic time!
Thanks for following along!! I remember following your Blue Lake experience through your mom and dad! We even drove to Blue Lake one summer just to see your spot ….So glad it is rejuvenating some of the great memories!!
Loved all your pictures of Paris. Someday I hope to get there. I think it’s great that you get to spend so much time in Europe. Enjoy!
You would LOVE it!!! Thank you for following along on the journey!!
